Tyler D. Humphrey is an actor at the Bigfork Summer Playhouse. Humphrey is from Palatka, Florida. He is a fun and out going guy who loves to meet new people. And he is very passionate about acting and will be the first one to tell you so. In the shows this year, Tyler plays Mr. Applegate in “Damn Yankees,” Dwayne in “9 to5,” Olin Brit in “The Music Man,” and Alan in “High School Musical.” Professionally, this is his first acting job he has had. Humphrey loves theater, he says, “The feeling I get when im on stage is unlike any other.”
For the future, he plans to follow his dream to perform on Broadway. Tyler’s favorite thing about working for the Bigfork Summer Playhouse is that he gets to do four shows at once. He says, “They keep you busy!” He also enjoys working with everyone at the playhouse.
To get to where he is now he began training at the Florida School of Arts, his first college. He now attends Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, VA. He is a senior now and is very happy to be almost done with his schooling in Winchester. The one thing he looks forward to in the short run is finishing school.
In Tyler’s free time he likes to listen to relaxing music like Gavin Degraw, Jason Mraz, Eric Hutchinson, and Kris Allen. He also likes to just sit down and enjoy the free time that he has because he is a busy man.
And lastly, some fun facts about Tyler. Humphrey’s favorite song is “She’s Always a Woman” by Billy Joel. “Mrs. Doubtfire is his favorite movie. And “HAIR” is his favorite musical.
