David Brumfield is an actor for the Bigfork Summer Playhouse. He’s from Prairieville, Louisianna. David is a hoot, he loves people. He says, “I try to be as friendly and as kind to everyone as possible.” He is fun and always has a smile to share! And on a side note he loves mermaids! This is his first professional job as an actor here in Bigfork, MT. Here at the playhouse, he plays in “Music Man” as Mayor Shinn, “Damn Yankees” as Welch/Linville, “High School Musical” as Jack Scott / Kratnoff, and in “9 to 5” he is the doctor. He loves working in theater because he can sing and dance and still get paid for it. In his own words he says, “It makes me happy.”
David came to Bigfork, MT through the SETC but his theater education started in high school. He currently attends Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, IA. He is studying towards his B.S in theater with a concentration in musical theater performance and performance/directing. In the short term, David wants to head back to school once the summer is over and start rehearsals for “Smokey Joe’s Cafe.” He also is looking forward to graduating with his degree.
In his free time he loves to spend time with his friends. He loves the wonderful opportunities and the repertoire of shows that he is able to perform in.
