25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
The competition is intense. The words are hilarious. Let the spelling begin! The show centers around a fictional spelling bee in Putnam County, New York. Six kids face off in the battle of their lives. They compete against each other as well as members of the audience. Three adults help adjudicate the proceedings: a nostalgic former spelling bee winner, a mildly insane Vice Principal and The Official Comfort Counselor completing his community service to the state of New York.

‘Spamalot’ tells the legendary tale of King Arthur’s quest to find the Holy Grail. However, diverting a bit from the true story, this hilarious musical features such oddities as a line of beautiful dancing girls, a flatulent Frenchmen and killer rabbits. Outside there is plague with a 50% chance of pestilence and famine. Thus, she is sent off to be the governess to Captain von Trapp’s seven troublesome children. Unlike previous governess’, Maria becomes friends with the children due to their mutual love of music. Soon, even the strict Captain begins to admire Maria. Eventually, the Captain and Maria fall in love and are married. Unfortunately, when the Nazis invade their homeland, Austria, the whole family is forced to flee over the Alps to escape.

Benefit Revue – one night only!

Bringing back the popular Benefit Revue, an evening of song and dance “from shows we’d like to do, from shows we’ve done in the past and from shows we promise we’ll never do,” on July 28. All proceeds go toward the BSP scholarship fund. A Champagne reception follows the performance. Come ‘meet the company’ while supporting education in the Arts.
