What role(s) do you play at the BSP?

I play: Marcy in Spelling Bee; Laker Girl/Ensemble in Spamalot; Matron Mama Morton in Chicago; Nun/Ensemble in Sound of Music; and Vivienne Kensington in Legally Blonde

How long have you been involved in theatre?
I started taking dance classes when I was about 4, and have been singing since I started talking! I got the bug early and began performing in Musical Theatre at the age of 8. I was in about 3 shows a year from age 8 to 18 with Christian Youth Theatre (CYT). This is where my passion for musical theatre began and where my gifts began to develop.

Jenna Burns, Junior RecitalI decided my junior year of high school that I couldn’t imagine myself doing anything else with my life! I will be a senior this coming fall at Belmont University where I am pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre and a minor in Dance. (That’s a photo from my  junior recital at Belmont at right.)

How long have you been at Bigfork Summer Playhouse?
This is my first summer at Bigfork Summer Playhouse! I have had several friends from my school work at BSP in the past and they have always raved about this place. When I met the BSP team at Midwest and SETC auditions, I knew this was the place I wanted to spend my summer! (The photo below is of Mallory King and me as Olive and Marcy in Spelling Bee.)

Jenna BurnsWhat is your favorite thing to do in your “off” time while staying in Bigfork?
My favorite thing to do on my “off” time is just to spend time with my wonderful castmates! Whether that be watching movies, going out to eat, or exploring Bigfork!

What else would you like to add?
I am so incredibly thankful to be at this beautiful place with all these wonderful people! BSP is such a special place and I know that I will never forget my experience here!
