Say hello to Rebecca Sewell! She’s a Bigfork native and has long been associated with the BSP Children’s Theatre. This is her first season with the Bigfork Summer Playhouse.
What role(s) do you play at the BSP?
I’m the Properties Master and Light Board Operator/ Technician.
How long have you been involved in theatre?
I got started in theatre when I was in the 6th grade (about 7 years ago). I decided to try out for Bigfork Playhouse Children’s Theatre and fell in love with it immediately. I continued with theatre in Bigfork throughout high school and in the middle of my junior year I decided to try the technical side of theatre. I then realized that I loved that part of theatre even more, and decided that was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
How long have you been at Bigfork Summer Playhouse?
I’ve been working spot light in BSP for 4 years, but this is my first professional year.
What is your favorite thing to do in your “off” time in Bigfork?
Since I grew up in Bigfork, my whole family lives here, so whenever I get time off I like to spend some time with them. Several of my friends are on their summer break from college, so I spend time with them, too. I also love swimming in the lake, even though it is really cold. (Editor’s note: Flathead Lake averages 62 degrees on the surface during summer month so Rebecca’s not kidding when she says it’s cold!)
What else would you like to add?
I just finished my first year at the University of Montana pursuing a degree in Theatre with a focus on Stage Management.
