Stitcher, Cutter/Draper –Tarzan
Stitcher, Cutter/Draper –The Full Monty
What is your personal history with theatre?
I got my start in theatre relatively late during my sophomore year in college when I was studying fashion at Savannah College of Art and Design. My roommate was majoring in production design and we took an Intro to Production Design class together and after that class I switched my major but also continued to take fashion classes.
I transferred to the University of Montana to finish my theatre degree and to get more hands-on experience to learn as much as I could about costume design in the two years I had left in school. I enjoy costuming dance in particular and hope to pursue that professionally.
How long have you been at Bigfork Summer Playhouse?
This is my first year at Bigfork Summer Playhouse. I chose to come here because I love Montana and it gave me the opportunity to improve my skills and costume design my first musical.
I enjoy reading by Flathead lake — it’s just so therapeutic. One day I hope to try paddle boarding and do a white water rafting trip.
What are your plans after the BFSP season ends?
I will be heading down to Vail, Colorado to work the International Dance Festival for the Vail Valley Foundation working with costumes and wardrobe. I did this internship last summer as well and I love working with amazing dancers from all around the world.
