What role(s) do you play at the BSP this season?

I am the Scenic Designer for The Full Monty and a scenic carpenter

Please share your personal history with theatre.

For as long as I remember live theatre and performance has been in my life. When I was a young child my parents and my preschool took my sisters and I to theatre. My love and interest in theatre continued through high school, where I discovered technical theater. This helped me to discover the possibly of pursuing a life and career in this precious art form.

Nicholas_Graves_2I attended undergrad and then graduate school to receive my terminal degree so that I could, as I do now, teach theatre at the collegiate level.

What is your favorite thing to do in your “off” time while staying in Bigfork?

When I am not working in Bigfork I enjoy spending time in the beautiful Flathead Valley.

Whether it be walking by the Swan River, hiking in Glacier, or boating on Flathead Lake itself, this area has no shortage of wonderful things to do.

Nicholas_Graves_3What are your plans after the BFSP season ends?

Following BSP, I, along with my wife Nicole Zausmer who also works at BSP, will be designing the set and costumes for “SWING The Musical” at the Little Theatre of the Rockies.

After we wrap our respective summer seasons, I will be returning to the University of Northern Colorado where I am a Theatrical Design Faculty Member.
