What role(s) do you play at the BSP this season?
Musician. I play the trumpet and flügelhorn.
How long have you been at Bigfork Summer Playhouse?
This is my first season at BSP. I heard about the job from my trumpet professor at school. He was here in the 90’s and enjoyed his time here. He gave me the contact information so I could send in an audition.
Please share your personal history with theatre.
I started working in theatre in high school. Every spring my high school puts on a musical and has a live pit orchestra comprised of select musicians from the band and orchestra programs. I started playing for pit orchestra my sophomore year of high school. The shows that I have performed in while in high school were: Thoroughly Modern Millie, Aida, and Les Miserables.
What is your favorite thing to do in your “off” time while staying in Bigfork?
I really enjoyed going to the river rocks and just looking at the stars with my friends. Since this is my first summer with the company I haven’t had the chance yet to go to Wayfarers and jump into the lake from the rocks.
What are your plans after the BFSP season ends?
My plans after the season are to return to college at the University of Wyoming where I am a music education and performance major. When I return I will be immediately starting marching band camp for the university.
Anything else you would like to add?
After I finish my undergraduate degree of music education, my plan is to go on to graduate school somewhere and get my masters degree. After that I want to go teach in the public school system for a few years and then go back to school to get my doctorate degree in music. The past two summers I have marched in drum corps with the Troopers from Casper, Wyoming.
